GTU ready to review its position on Enhancement Programme
It is in the general interest of Education and as per the wish expressed by delegates that the GTU is party to reviewing its position on EP. It is public knowledge that the EP is a total fiasco even if the Minister would time and again affirm the contrary in a view to drown the fish. It is also clearcut that without the participation of the GTU in the programme, same is bound to go to the rocks. As is the case now! Taking all this into consideration, the president of the GTU talked to the minister and made few proposals to him. The Minister positively welcomed the proposals and conveyed same to the top officials of the Ministry. An official meeting was held at the Ministry of Education on Saturday 30 October 2010 and the proposals were thoroughly examined. Amongst others, GTU has claimed:
