Teachers News Aug 2009 : Educators’ Club
Several members have since long contacted GTU to set up a club so as to cater for leisure activities of teachers. One existing club no longer responds to teachers’ demand and the “Educators Club” has thus been formed by scores of enthusiastic teachers most of whom are young teachers. GTU wishes good luck and plenty of success to the members of this new club in their endeavour.

The new Educators Club will operate under the aegis of the GTU and all its activities will be held at L.E.Fabien Teachers’ Centre. The application for registration has already been made and a provisional committee has been set up, comprising the following members:

Members are requested to fill in the application forms and to forward same to Mrs Rakhee Chaytoo.

An official launching of the Educators’ Club will be effected upon obtention of its registration. GTU will see to it that the EC is managed in absolute transparency and in a perfect atmosphere of friendliness, democracy and good governance.

It was long overdue ! Hope that everyone would contribute and help in making a true Teachers Club { Educators Club } which would really work in favour of ALL TEACHERS.
