First of all, we must thank the GTU for organising the seminar for young teachers. We learnt a lot and got valuable information that would be very useful to us in the future. We can say that the seminar was organised in a professional way. We appreciated the way how the GTU cater for the youth and that we also form part of the great GTU family. The massive presence of trainee teachers should be underlined. This simply shows that young teachers embarking in the teaching profession have already chosen thier ‘home’ and that is the GTU under the leadership of Mr Seegum. We would also like to place on record the very good speech made by Minister Chaumière. We just hope that the Trade Union Youth Policies would be implemented in the near future.
Furthermore, we should simply congratulate Mr Seegum for his nice words for the young teachers. It is really very encouraging for the future. Mr Seegum is very good orator who simply impressed the audience. We appreciated his good sense of humour. The Technical Adviser, Mr Murugan, helped us a lot by his explanations which were clear and concise. The message was that we should be united so as we could better face challenges that might affect our profession. In this context, the youth has a major role to play. We should be motivated and see how we can contribute in making our union more stronger and united. Thus, each young teacher should be an ambassador of the GTU and help in consolidating our great family. And our mission starts now !!!

  2. UNITED MIE STUDENTS says:

MIE students simply want to thank the President of the GTU for adopting us in such a way that we feel much comfort after being members of the GTU. The GTU is outstanding and displays its love towards the youth. Thanks and keep it up !!!

I thank you very much for this seminar but as a young lady i would like very much if GTU could organise a trade union course(MQA appproved or not) for the youths ,that is young teachers.Of what i have gathered on that day i believe that GTU is ready to sponsor a youth formation or delegates formation which will be scheduled on a 20 or 30 months program. This will be benefical for GTU and the country at large on a long term basis.GTU being one of the most democratic Trade Union in Mauritius ,that is one man one vote,we must give examples to others and strengthen our union and why not reach as SADC proposes a union with 30% of women council members. The ball is on your side and the whistle is in your mouth MR SEEGUM, as referee, just a simple movement and we women will be on your side as usual

Young teachers are very motivated after the mind-blowing speech delivered by the president of the GTU during the seminar. We only want to say that the youth is with Mr Seegum and his great team.

We would like to place on record the initiatives taken by the GTU in favour of young teachers. They represent the future of the GTU. Thus, it shows the determination of the president of the GTU in training our young teachers so as they could be the leaders of tomorrow. By empowering the youth, the GTU is ensuring that our union is even more stronger in the future. Hats off guys, keep it up !!!

  6. Great masterpiece says:

  7. Isabelle Rodrigues says:

I would like to thank the GTU for having so much consideration for teachers in Rodrigues. We would be grateful to you if you could organise such seminars in Rodrigues and also invite some of our Mauritian young colleagues so that we could work together and share our experiences. Thanking you before-hand.
